Role Overview

We are looking for experienced and innovative ML engineers to build the core technical foundations for AI-centric e-commerce, which will have tremendous impact on Coupang and the whole industry.

Basic Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in technology companies or organizations.
• 5+ years of experience in AI/ML and is familiar with the latest deep learning techniques. 
• Hands-on. Ability to design and implement high-quality algorithms / systems independently. 
• Ability to dive deep into the algorithms / systems and generate ideas of improvements.
• Ability to efficiently run experiments, analyze results, and quickly iterate.
• Solid track record of delivering big business impacts via technology innovations.
• Excellent communications and collaborations across teams and across functionalities.

Preferred Skills:

• Knowledge in e-commerce or eagerness of learning it.
• Experience of applying Large Language Models or Large Image Models in an industry. 

Here are some examples of the related projects: 

• Extract structured and high-quality product information from images and unstructured texts.
• Automatically generate product images and videos to improve customer experience.
• Chatbot that can accurately answer product-related questions. 

Pay & Benefits   

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. At Coupang, your base pay is one part of your total compensation. 

The base pay for this position ranges from $159,000/year in our lowest geographic market to $324,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on several factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
