Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Working with a team of physician-scientists, including neuroscientists, neurologists, and neuropathologists, the candidate will design and implement analysis tools for high-dimension molecular and clinical data generated from human brain tissue, blood, cerebrospinal fluid, and stem-cell-based models of disease acquired using cutting-edge methods.
  • Use modeling techniques and tools in analyzing and specifying data structure
  • Implement best practices in data management to ensure the integrity of the data, the quality of data processes and deliver analyzable or analyzed data to a variety of internal and external clients of the affiliated practice
  • Develop, maintain or implement procedures for data entry, data cleaning, documentation and other administrative tasks
  • Design and write custom applications needed to ensure the database meets requirements for the entry, management and reporting of data
  • Maintain knowledge of the current regulations and technologies related to data management
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • BA or BS degree minimum, in a relevant field of study; MS or PhD in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field preferred
  • Strong experience with pipeline development, management, and analysis of large datasets, and demonstrated competence in programming languages such as R or Python. 
  • 5 years minimum in healthcare data
  • PhD, MD or DO program may be substituted for three years of experience.
  • Successful candidates should be highly motivated, creative, and enthusiastic scientists with a record of productivity and prior experience in a wide range of computational approaches to molecular biology data.
