In this role, you have the opportunity to make life better

work on the development of Intravascular Ultrasound Systems. As a member of an international cross-functional team, you work closely together with hardware engineers, transducer engineers, system engineers, and software engineers.

You are responsible for

  • Be a key contributor in the innovation, development and implementation of novel signal and image processing algorithms to support intravascular ultrasound imaging and vascular functional measurement technologies
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams to define user clinical needs. Translate those needs into technical specifications and requirements applicable to the signal and imaging pipelines
  • Participate in the research, design, development, and integration of new ultrasound systems and transducers
  • Tune intravascular ultrasound systems for optimum image quality
  • Support new product development projects and sustaining projects while adhering to quality control and regulatory procedures
  • Plan and lead/execute laboratory research
  • Participate in clinical human and animal imaging studies for assessment and testing of new technologies and products
  • Collaborate with marketing and product management organizations to define new feature requirements to meet specific clinical applications and market needs
  • Provide technical expertise to support other departments
  • Identify opportunities for and drive internal process improvements

You are part of

A global, cross-functional technical team responsible for the design, development, and implementation of Intravascular Ultrasound products. You are a member of the Ultrasound Engineering team.

To succeed in this role, you’ll need a customer-first attitude and the following

  • Masters degree in Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or related field. PhD Preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in the field of medical imaging research and/or product development. Ultrasound imaging preferred.
  • Expertise in MATLAB
  • Capability to work in a fast paced, regulated environment, with strict adherence to a quality system
  • Demonstrated skill in solving problems
  • Adaptability in the face of ambiguous and evolving situations
  • Familiarity with cardiac and vascular catheterization procedures, tools, and terminology desired
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both oral and written, in order to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with persons contacted in the course of performing assigned duties including Company management and outside business associates
