You are responsible for

  • Understand needs, business requirements and the context to interpret datasets correctly and gives recommendations towards Auditors and business stakeholders. Proactively work with Auditors to timely identify and plan relevant data sources and analyses for planned Audits.
  • Generate insights to provide clear underpinning to Auditors to support audit findings, the translation of those to improvement actions, and the communication thereof to Auditees (Senior Management). In doing so, collaborate with other data analytical related functions within Philips (for example Enterprise Information Management).
  • Maintain awareness of the various data sources available in Philips and make suggestions to Auditors on potentially relevant available sources for the scope of the Audit.
  • Perform both historical as predictive data analysis, to identify patterns, inaccuracies and generate actionable insights. Manage and ensure data quality, integrity, normalization and accuracy of datasets from multiple sources.
  • Design and manage the reporting environment, including data sources, security and metadata.
  • Build the platform to drive efficiency and consistency in providing data insights by consolidating data, methods and tools.
  • Keeps abreast of technical knowledge by studying and implementing state-of-the-art techniques and development tools, participating in educational opportunities, participating in communities of practice, reading professional publications and maintaining personal networks.
  • Improve the data analytical awareness and maturity of your direct team members (including Auditors and Sponsors). May lead small projects, managing and educating a small number of people.

Philips Internal Audit (PIA) is one of Philips Corporate Departments reporting directly to our CEO and supports Philips' purpose and strategy realization by reinforcing risk management as a core competency and supporting a high performance culture through independent review and support. PIA consist of approximately 30 colleagues globally. The Global Support Operations team (GSO) is a team of around 5 which supports smooth operations and acts as a linking pin to the various teams within PIA which include Internal Audit and Enterprise Risk Management teams. We provide insights to make better decisions, we drive operational excellence within our department, we ensure compliance and we coordinate team collaboration. To support our ambition, we need your drive, energy and pragmatism.

To succeed in this role, you’ll need a customer-first attitude and the following

  • Bachelor/Master degree.
  • Database and interoperability expertise to access and query multiple data sources.
  • Expertise in business intelligence techniques, visualization and reporting methods and tools, knowledge of statistics, probabilities and mathematics to draw insights from data.
  • Knowledge of analytical tools, methodologies and techniques, such as Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence (AI), and NPSS, SQL, Python. Expert knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite of applications is required.
  • Good understanding of software development with focus on data quality, data curation, reporting, security and privacy.
  • Having knowledge about process improvement methodologies such as LEAN and Agile way-of-workings and statistical techniques to evaluate data (such as SPC) are helpful.
