Job Description

Supports a program located in Tampa, FL by leveraging technical and analytical expertise to explore and examine data from multiple disparate sources with the goal of discovering patterns and previously hidden insights that can provide a competitive advantage or address a pressing business problem. Uses expertise in computer science, software development, and the latest technologies to analyze and implement analysis infrastructure and tools, analytic workflow processes, and complex data visualizations. Leverages knowledge of mathematical and statistical concepts, computer science, or domain expertise to bridge the gap between technologists and mathematicians, ensuring software solutions meet analytic requirements. Must be able to both manage and manipulate large data sets, develop data science approaches, and manage data science tasks.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and data needs.
• Clean, preprocess, and analyze large datasets to extract meaningful patterns and insights.
• Utilize advanced statistical techniques and machine learning algorithms to build predictive models.
• Develop and implement data-driven solutions to address specific business challenges.
• Create data visualizations and reports to effectively communicate findings to stakeholders.
• Explore and implement natural language processing (NLP) solutions using GPT and other language models.
• Continuously optimize and improve existing data analytics processes and models.
• Mentor and provide guidance to junior team members on data science best practices.
• Collaborate with software engineers and data engineers to deploy data science solutions into production.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree required in Computer Sciences, Applied Math or Science Statistics, Science, Technology, Mathematics, Analytics, or related fields.
• DOD SECRET clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of SQL and database management systems.
• Proficiency in Python or R for data manipulation, statistical analysis, and machine learning model development.
• Understanding of data visualization tools Tableau, matplotlib, Gephi.
• Familiarity with GPT (Generative Pre-trained Transformer) and other NLP models for text analysis and language generation.
• Experience with big data technologies and cloud platforms (AWS).
• Experience with Meltwater, Pulsar, and Alteryx.
• TS/SCI Clearance
