Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity to obtain a TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph and open a whole new world of exciting career opportunities. We are seeking candidates in the following labor categories:

  • Software Developer / Software Engineer
  • Data Scientist
  • Systems Engineer
  • Cyber Security Project Engineer
  • Once successfully cleared, you would interview for specific positions at that time.
  • The work will be located at one of the Sponsor’s facilities in the Washington Metro Area.
  • Estimated time to complete the clearance sponsorship process is approximately 24 months (+/-).
  • Interested candidates should be local to the Washington Metro Area.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Software Developer / Software Engineer

  • Front End Skills: Single Page Applications (ReactJS, AngularJS, JavaScript, TypeScript, CSS, HTML), Responsive Design
  • Back End Skills: Microservices, REST, Node.js, JVM (Java - Spring, Spring Boot, Hibernate, etc.), Database (Postgres, MySQL, etc.).
  • Build Tools: maven, gradle, grunt, gulp, git, tactical and strategic improvements to large scale Java/J2EE/ products
  • Formulates and defines system scope and objectives through research and fact-finding to develop or modify moderately complex information systems
  • Translate software requirements into working and maintainable solutions within the existing application frameworks
  • Implement the product's lifecycle: Design, development, quality, deployment and maintenance
  • Develop and adhere to best-practices for developing applications
  • Continuously contribute to team performance improvement and collaboration
  • Collaborate effectively across teams
  • A love for developing software and solving difficult problems with simple solutions
  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process
  • DevOps/Platforms: Amazon Web Services (S3, RDS, EC2, ECS, Lambda, SQS, SNS, CloudFormation, etc.), Docker, Ansible.
  • CI/CD: Jenkins, Artifactory, Docker, Kubernetes
  • Excellent knowledge of relational databases (PostgreSQL, Oracle), SQL and ORM technologies (JPA2, Hibernate)

Data Scientist

  • Experience with data wrangling of large datasets using commercial or open-source data science tools and big data frameworks such as Apache Spark.
  • Experience with NLP and/or graph analytics preferred but not required.
  • Proficient in writing reusable code in Python and SQL to refine through code review and discussion
  • BS or MS in Operation Research, Industrial Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Computer Science, or related fields preferred but not required.
  • 5+ years of experience in Data Science role.

Systems Engineer (Cloud Engineer)

  • Optimize, implement, and maintain our organization’s cloud-based systems. Responsibilities include deploying and debugging systems, as well as executing new cloud initiatives. Successful candidate will have extensive experience engineering efficient continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines and developing strategic plans to introduce or improve cloud best practices. Candidate will have documented experience working with Bash, Python and Puppet to provision cloud-based infrastructure.
  • Ability to design, develop, and deploy modular cloud-based systems.
  • Experience in developing software using languages such as Java, Python.
  • Excellent programming skills to ensure the proper interpretation and implementation of code.
  • Experience with DevOps/Platforms: Amazon Web Services (S3, RDS, EC2, ECS, Lambda, SQS, SNS, CloudFormation, etc.), Docker, Ansible, Puppet. 
  • Documented experience with open-source technology, software development and system engineering.
  • Demonstrated experience utilizing DevOps tools, such as GitHub and Jenkins, to enable continuous integration and continuous delivery.
  • Identify, analyze, and resolve infrastructure vulnerabilities and application deployment issues.
  • Regularly review existing systems and make recommendations for improvements and cost efficiencies.
  • Develop and maintain cloud solutions in accordance with customer best practices and guidance.
  • Demonstrated experience working with Agile Scrum based development team. 
  • Interact with clients, provide cloud support, and make recommendations based on customer needs.
  • Strong understanding of web services, API, REST.

Cyber Security Project Engineer

  • Analyze systems, including forensically, for malware, misuse, and/or unauthorized activity
  • Investigate virus/malware alerts/incidents to determine root cause, entry point of code, damage
  • risk, and report this information
  • Investigate and analyze of all data sources, to include Internet, Intelligence Community
  • reporting, security events, firewall logs, forensic hard-drive images, and other data sources to
  • identify malware, misuse, unauthorized activity or other cyber security related concerns
  • Monitor, document, and respond to centrally collected virus alerts
  • Participate in project review meetings and provide technical cyber security guidance when
  • necessary
  • Conduct tier-3 support of current infrastructure
  • Design, test, and integrate new security products as directed by GTM
  • Ensure all network defense capabilities are kept current, patched, and securely configured and
  • management informed of status
  • Provide engineering support for all Sponsor systems such as network based intrusion detection
  • Integrate security products, including designs for all Sponsor networks
  • Maintain a network diagram for each instruction detection, cyber defense capability and sensors
  • and make available to all Sponsor personnel
  • Maintain system baselines and configuration management items, including security event
  • monitoring policies in a manner determined and agreed to by the Sponsor
  • Provide engineering documentation and interaction with colleagues to ensure a complete and
  • functioning system that meets requirements
  • Conduct software testing (patches, other updates); beta testing; proof of concept testing
  • Stay abreast Sponsor’s directives, regulations, guidance, notices and standards on cybersecurity
  • Have detailed knowledge of Intelligence Community Directives (ICDs) related to cybersecurity, at a minimum, ICD 503
