Our work depends on Senior Database Analysts joining our team to support the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock Division (NSWCCD), the U.S. Navy’s principal research center for ship signature, measurement, and silencing programs, as well as Acoustic Intelligence (ACINT) data acquisition, processing, analysis and certification for submarine and surface ship total ship signatures. GDIT coordinates these efforts and provides technical solutions to ensure the Navy’s signature advantage for submarines, surface ships, and other Navy vehicles. We conduct research and development (R&D) in the fields of underwater acoustic and non-acoustic signature control and reduction and provide fundamental research and applied research in hydro-acoustics, structural acoustics, mechanical vibrations, target strength reduction, electromagnetics, Radar Cross Section (RCS) reduction, infrared reduction, electro-optical (EO) detection, and advanced signal processing.

Desired qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Systems
  • SECRET/ Top SECRET (TS/SCI) Clearance
  • Baseline AIT Level II Certification, such as CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+CE, CND, and SSCP
  • Proficiency in data manipulation languages, including MS SQL, Oracle Database, Hadoop, or PostgreSQL
  • Four years of collective database experience in the following areas:
    • Install, configure, manage, monitor, maintain, and modify relational databases
    • Ensuring IA compliance, database security, integrity, stability and system availability
    • Maintaining database backup and recovery infrastructure
    • Design database schemas
    • Conduct data research and query large and complex datasets to support data modelling
    • Coordinate with application development teams to ensure database connectivity and compatibility
    • Track database performance and reported problems
    • Design, implementation, and maintenance of Knowledge Management System (KMS)
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Majority of work will be performed at the customer's site
