Job Description

What You’ll Do

  • Develop predictive models of physical degradation, failures and data-driven prognostics algorithms
  • Build robust, flexible and automated software tools to enable complex analysis of real-time fleet
  • Apply statistical analysis to test (accelerated life) and field (life) data to inform reliability physics modeling/analyses and associated corrective actions
  • Answer complex questions on fleet usage and behavior to enable proactive monitoring, grow reliability, and minimize field failures
  • Keep up to date with advances in machine learning, particularly in the areas of data-driven prognostics, physics-based machine learning

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in quantitative discipline (Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics) or the equivalent in experience and evidence of exceptional ability
  • Strong knowledge of Statistics and Machine Learning (including Bayesian statistics, survival analysis...)
  • Strong Proficiency in Python (or any other programming language such as C, C++, Rust)
  • Experience with MLOps and building machine learning pipelines in professional settings
  • Strong knowledge of algorithms, data structures, architectures
  • General knowledge of physics and engineering principles
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

Nice to have

  • Experience with DevOps and containerization (Ansible, Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Working knowledge of the Big Data ecosystem (Spark, Presto, Data Lake/Warehouse)
  • Record of coming up with new ideas (or improving upon existing ideas) in statistical modeling or machine learning, demonstrated by accomplishments such as first author publications or projects

Expected Compensation

$80,000 - $276,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits
