What to Expect

• Looking for a senior mechanical engineer to work on battery recycling as part of the materials manufacturing engineering group. Our mission is to close the loop on all battery materials by recovering and re-using raw materials from battery scrap into battery manufacturing applications. As a mechanical engineer your role will include leading battery recycling plant design, coordinating project development with multidisciplinary engineering teams and managing process equipment packages. Your contributions will ensure that each battery manufacturing facility has a battery recycling plant thus unlocking a sustainable circular economy.

What You’ll Do

• Lead design of battery recycling plant layout and general arrangement Review and approve vendor mechanical drawings Coordinating development of engineering packages with other engineering disciplines and suppliers Resolve technical clarifications, track procurement schedule and coordinate progress review meeting with project teams Lead project development at basic and detailed engineering phase Oversee construction and commissioning of plant equipment Troubleshoot cell recycling process equipment on-site

What You’ll Bring

• Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering 7+ years of experience Preferably as a package engineer in an EPCM environment Extensive chemical plant project development experience Commissioning and construction experience desired Strong understanding of design tools such as Solid works, AutoCAD, Micro station, etc. Knowledge of chemical processing (bonus)
