What You’ll Do

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement large-scale data processing pipelines that handle petabytes of autonomous vehicle data including images, videos, depth arrays, and human labels. 
• Support the training of neural networks by optimizing code & data formats for faster dataloading, orchestrating data auto-labeling jobs, debugging bottlenecks in training, etc. 
• Develop and maintain evaluation metrics, tools, visualizations, and dashboards to aid in the development of neural networks.
• Optimize system performance for training and inference, including resource utilization, parallelism, and data I/O.
• Stay up to date with the latest advancements and technologies in machine learning engineering.

What You’ll Bring

Requirements:

• Strong experience with Python and software engineering best practices. 
• Experience with data manipulation tools including Jupyter notebooks, numpy, scipy, matplotlib, scikit-learn, and parallelism via Python multiprocessing. 

• Experience in system-level software and resource utilization, parallelism and Python multiprocessing, and being able to debug problems across the stack.
• Experience working with the underlying storage formats for various kinds of data (e.g. images, videos, depth arrays, human labels, etc).

• (bonus) Understanding of machine learning concepts and experience working with deep learning training frameworks, ideally PyTorch.

Expected Compensation

$116,000 - $360,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits

Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
