The Role
Tesla is on a path to build and deploy humanoid bi-pedal robots at scale to automate repetitive and boring tasks for manufacturing/logistics. Core to the Tesla Bot, the machine learning stack presents a unique opportunity to work on state-of-the-art neural network algorithms for accurate scene understanding, object detection/representation, object manipulation and other human-like behaviors such as walking gaits and more complex full-body maneuvers. Our machine learning engineers & scientists work together with the Autopilot Machine Learning team to use and adapt as much as possible of what has been done for the car to the Bot, and develop new algorithms for what is specific to the Bot - from inception to deployment.
