Logic Technology Development (LTD), Resolution Enhancement Techniques (RET) is responsible for the research, development and implementation of RET for nanoscale process technologies. Investigates potential inventions prior to being applied to a product.
As an RET Software Research Engineer/Scientist in this team your job scope includes models and software to perform layout correction for high resolution reproduction on wafers. Applies software engineering methods, theories and research in the investigation and solution of technical RET problems.This position develops and implements Resolution Enhancement Technology (RET) for nanoscale process technologies. Scope of the position includes data analysis, simulation modeling, and usage/creation of software applications to perform layout correction for high resolution wafer patterning. Position also applies software engineering methods towards the investigation and solution of technical RET problems, utilizing principles and theories in lithography, optics, resists, modeling, and software engineering.Job responsibilities include:- Optical Proximity Correction (OPC) simulations- Maintaining substantial knowledge of state of the art principles and theories in lithography, optics, resists, modeling, and software engineering.- OPC model calibration, recipe optimization and code validation.- Production tapeout and production disposition support.
Develop technical documentation and presentations.
Additionally, can use predictive modeling, statistics, machine learning, data mining, and other data analysis techniques to collect, explore, visualize, and to develop software algorithms and applications to compensate for empirical effects in photolithography imaging and etch pattern transferal process.
