Job Description

Come join the Heterogeneous Systems Technologies team as a Network Software Research Engineer. We are an advanced applied research organization which builds prototypes, Graph Analytics/AI/Machine Learning SOCs, computational storage as well as custom ASICs to partner with Xeon processors.

As a Network Software Research Engineer you will take part in the innovation of the cutting edge computing and will be working on a software pathfinding and enablement.

Our research activities are directed towards a new proof-of-concept architectures with the focus on programming models, low-level tools and bare-metal runtime while closely collaborating with our RTL team to co-design high performing solutions. Work will also include network protocol stack changes, prototyping of new congestion control policies, traffic pipelining and other inventions for the architectures which we are working on.

We are looking for an individual to help define/innovate new software solutions specific to the advanced program needs. If you are excited about working on prototypes together with the leading research and development experts this is a great opportunity.

Qualifications

Important for us:

• Experience with network stack software
• Strong C/C++ programming skills
• Knowledge of ROCE protocol
• Knowledge of hardware and software interaction
• Experience with Unix systems development and system level software design
• Experience in hardware and software debugging
• Best practices in software development, continues integration and release processes
• Good communication skills in English - written and spoken

Nice to have:

• ASM programming skills
• Knowledge of CPU architectures
• Experience in distributed frameworks and tools (e.g., gRPC, kubernetes, containers)
• Experience with hardware accelerators (FPGA, GPU, other)
• Knowledge in Python, data structures, algorithms and operating systems
• Knowledge of Embedded systems, microcontrollers and CPU architecture
• Experience in overall software stack development

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in US, Colorado:
$132,940.00-$199,800.00

Work Model for this Role

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.
