Job Description

Intel’s Artificial Intelligence (AI) Residency Program is a one-year research position designed to give you hands-on experience.

We are inviting candidates with backgrounds in software, hardware, data science and research experts to spend one full year with us at our AI Research Labs located in Santa Clara and San Diego, California.

Participants of our residency program get to experience a unique combination of cutting edge research with commercial understanding of technology development. We apply research across the entire AI solution space to solve real world customer problems that require us to build new paradigms of compute.

As a resident, you will work on projects that align with your interests: from new hardware substrates and architectures to machine learning algorithms and beyond. At Intel, you will have the unique opportunity to apply your expertise in creating solutions that span the entire AI stack.

Top candidates should possess the following:

• Experience in machine learning or research skills in an adjacent technical field with desire to add machine learning knowledge.
• A passion for innovating, building, and challenging yourself.
• Ability to work in an agile and self-directed manner with highly effective written and oral communication skills.
• A track record of publishing research or contributing to open source projects in machine learning.
• Have completed MS or PhD within a STEM related discipline. Students who are currently enrolled in a PhD program are encouraged to apply.
