This position is virtual during the 16-week returnship program. The goal of this program is to hire individuals who were successful throughout the program duration. A full-time offer will be hybrid.

Software Engineer Roles

Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to (responsibilities may differ according to each role assigned)

  • Linux software application development or enhancement across a wide range of use cases
  • Work with adjacent engineering teams by absorbing project requirements, defining project plans, communicating project status, analyzing large data sets, and constructing retrospectives for continuous improvement.
  • Application qualification through test plan development, implementation of quality control procedures, data analysis, and application deployment.
  • Software application requirements discovery, functional specification, and project planning using Agile and Waterfall methods.
  • Configuring applications or databases to enable technology and generate data for product introduction to manufacturing.
  • Testing and deploying changes to software applications.

Qualifications:

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidate

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Candidates must have been out of the paid workforce for at least one year
  • Candidate must possess a Bachelor's, Master's or PhD degree in: Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Data Science, Information Science (or other engineering disciplines with an emphasis on Computer Science is also acceptable), Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mathematics, Optics, Nano-Engineering, Materials Science, Physics or Related Scientific Discipline.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in two or more of the following:
  • Software development in at least 1 programming language (example: Ruby, Python, C/C++, Java).
  • Mathematics, including algebra, linear algebra, calculus, statistics, and familiarity with DOE Techniques.
  • C++ Programming or Python scripting, Statistics packages such as JMP, General scientific applications such as MATLAB or Mathematica.
  • Linux/Unix environments.
  • Computational simulation.
  • Algorithm development.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Practical expertise in the following languages/architectures: C++, Python, Qt, Django.
  • Database architecture and languages such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, MongoDB.
  • Project management and planning or information/computer systems management, and computer information systems.
  • Distributed computing and datacenter system architecture.
  • Circuit Physical Design automation applications that run in a Linux environment.
  • Web Interfaces such as Javascript, VueJS, Rails, Django.
  • Integrated Circuit Design concepts (Simulation, Layout, Verification).
  • Semiconductor Manufacturing concepts (Lithography, Wafer Fabrication)

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in US, Colorado: $52,000.00-$200,000.00

Work Model for this Role

This role is available as fully home-based and generally would require you to attend Intel sites only occasionally based on business need.
