This position is for a Global Supply Chain Operations Q and R (GSCO Q and R) Data Scientist/Program Manager to drive our data science, analytics and visualization (e.g., Power BI) programs, focused on defining data frameworks for multiple Global Supply Chain Operations (GSCO) groups, developing methods algorithms using supplier and Intel data to predict material and equipment performance, prevent quality issues and drive continuous quality and cost improvement.

The Data Scientist will lead in defining holistic data framework/infrastructure as well as identifying opportunities to apply modern data science methodologies to our supplier data to identify quality issues, trends, gaps and opportunities to drive supplier continuous quality improvements; both to reduce supplier caused excursions and to improve Intel factory/product performance. It is expected that the successful candidate will be a broad visionary in the use of data techniques on multiple GSCO Q and R supplier data streams.

The scope of this role will include but not be limited to:

  • Mapping out end-to-end data framework for managing segments of GSCO's supplier quality.
  • Identifying opportunities to use learning techniques on Supplier data to identify outliers for proactive containment.
  • Data science projects for identifying potential data integrity issues with suppliers.
  • Identification of data analysis techniques to correlate supplier data with Intel fab performance for multiple incoming materials.
  • Set up and structure of scalable databases to enable ongoing deep learning.
  • Operationalize techniques and methodologies across our supply base management and process control systems.

Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Science with 3+ years applied work experience.
  • A solid background and understanding modern data science techniques (machine learning/deep learning) or demonstrated experience in these fields is highly desirable.
  • Solid communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Demonstrated stakeholder management, and program management experience is a plus, especially in executing complex multi-year projects in a dynamic and intensive environment with multiple interfaces.
  • Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills with the willingness to collaborate with many stakeholders and understanding of quality systems and basic statistics and quality methods is also highly desired.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in an engineering discipline with CS, AI, or Data Science
