Job Description

Network and Edge group (NEX) Office of the CTO is looking for a highly motivated software developer to work on AI/ML for networking and security applications. As an AI/ML Software development engineer, you will participate in the software development of AI/ML for Networking and Security applications. You will be involved in the development of new algorithms, techniques, new methods, and models for AI inferencing and training for networking and security applications and optimizing for Intel CPU/GPU/SOC Platforms. The applications could involve network analytics, URL filtering, malware detection, data leak prevention, email security, network anomalies detection and related areas. You will be involved with designing, developing software, APIs, testing, profiling, performance characterization/benchmarking, and prototyping of new concepts, architectures, inferencing techniques, models, and technologies. You should have excellent problem solving, critical thinking and communications skills and require working with cross-functional teams across geographies. You will be working with senior architects and software engineers across multiple geographies.

Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum qualifications and are considered a plus in identifying top candidates. Experience would be obtained through a combination of prior job experience in relevant field, academic qualifications, education/research experience.

Minimum Qualifications:

• The candidate must possess Master's or PhD or Bachelor's degree (with additional experience) in Computer science, Computer Engineering, Electrical/Electronics and computer engineering or related fields.
• 5+ years of experience in software development with 3+ years hands on experience in AI/ML, data science
• Experience in machine learning, deep learning algorithms, models, inferencing, training.
• Working knowledge with one or more AI frameworks such as Pytorch, Tensorflow, ONNX runtime Familiarity with Networking/security protocols
• Proficiency in programming with C/C++, Python, etc., and software development on Linux environments

Preferred Qualifications:

• Working knowledge of NLP, LLMs, GenAI
• Familiarity with RAG, Vector databases, etc.,
• Programming with RUST, Go, Java, Javascript
• Familiar with software optimizations to CPU/GPU architectures, performance tuning tools, etc.,
• Agile software development environment
• SW experience with networking and security protocols and network functions such as routing, firewall, load balancing, and related areas is a plus
• Familiar with cloud native software development, containerization and Kubernetes environments

Working Model

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.
