The Workplace Investing Data Engineering and Exchange AI Delivery Chapter team is seeking a highly motivated Principal Data Analyst to help drive data analysis and documentation for a squad working on Health Care application which provides an out-of-pocket cost estimate and recommends a health plan at the time of Annual Enrollment. We are looking for a data practitioner with a deep passion for data and the technical chops to discover, analyze, prep and visualize data to deliver insights, and to support AI project delivery and efficiency measurement. This role is where you will drive analysis; work with squad-mates to understand the details of what they are working on to help articulate this work to others within and outside the squad.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

• Outspoken and engaged data practitioner, collaborating with the squad to deliver high quality data solutions.
• Strong SQL skills and experience performing deep data analysis, wrangling and/or reporting experience on multiple database platforms
• Collaborating with offshore team members to deliver technical solutions
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in a technology related field (e.g. Computer Science, Engineering, etc.) with a focus on data analysis, data structures, or data modeling. MBA is a plus.
• Expert level analysis skills in the form of research, gap analysis, data mining, and data profiling.
• Solid understanding of data lineage. Ability to breakdown and detail the flow of data from origination to consumption.
• Knowledge of health insurance industry and practices, including applicable laws and regulations.
• Knowledge of actuarial guidelines.
• Proven track record of solving real world problems using a design-oriented modeling approach in large data warehouses, data marts, and analytics/reporting platforms.
• Understanding of different database platforms (e.g. Oracle, Snowflake, Hadoop, Microsoft SQL Server) usages (OLTP Recordkeeping, ODS, MDM, Warehousing, and Data Lakes).
• Robust SQL experience, used to design new platforms on cloud technologies/architecture including Snowflake, AWS, etc.
• Monitoring the market to remain current regarding the major health plans, administrators, and other vendors available in the marketplace to consulting clients and prospects, as well as new, innovative solutions
• Experience carrying out projects in an Agile environment.
• Having outstanding interpersonal skills with experience collaborating and influencing across all levels of the organization including written, verbal, and technology illustrations.
• Go-getter, self-sufficient, and willing to exhaust all research avenues before seeking help or discontinuing the search for answers.
• Accepts uncertainty and can combine various sources of information including personal data experimentation, research, and dialogues to formulate answers.
• Understanding of modeling strategies (dimensional, relational, unstructured).
• Excitement about working on a multi-functional team of data scientists, architects, operations, and retirement plan specialists and partnering with offshore technology team to review requirements.
