The Job

The Manager, Studio Resources & Capabilities will help to develop, implement, and manage an all-new approach to managing game studio resources at Warner Bros Interactive Entertainment (WBIE), one of the fastest growing groups within Warner Bros Discovery.

This person will inform, advise, and collaborate with a wide variety of stakeholders at all levels, including divisional executive management, senior leadership of WBIE’s console game studios, as well as HR, finance, and games production stakeholders.

Key responsibilities will include management of essential current operating planning processes, provision of reporting, analysis, and insights for senior leadership, and a critical role in the development of new processes and systems to support studio development strategy.

The Daily

  • Regularly review and report on each studios’ internal headcount assignments by game project and opportunities for resource sharing.
  • Track studio new headcount requests through the approval workflow and provide weekly reporting to identify where management attention is needed.
  • Working with Finance, HR, and studio heads, evaluate current operating plans in terms of headcount and spend commitment.
  • Coordinate and participate in quarterly review meetings of studio heads and corporate executive management.
  • Develop desktop tools/processes for consolidating resource planning and tracking across studios and functional groups.
  • Coordinate and host regular alignment reviews with Finance, HR, and games production staff
  • Identify and disseminate best practices to improve studio planning processes and provide planning guidance to studio staff.
  • Develop new business processes to facilitate resource planning and deployment and identify systems requirements to support these.
  • Work on other special projects as required.
  • Perform under pressure to meet challenging deadlines.

The Essentials

  • Experience of planning, analysis, and reporting for a large enterprise.
  • Successful experience managing process/systems improvement projects.
  • Experience working with BI tools and/or data science background.
  • Video game or other software development/production experience, especially in resource scheduling.
  • Management consulting or corporate strategic planning background.
  • Must have demonstrated attention to detail and ability to manage complexity.
  • Must have strong written and verbal communication skills and be able to communicate effectively with all levels of management.
  • Must be able to multi-task, work under tight time constraints and meet deadlines.
  • Must have superior computer and analytical skills.
  • Must have advanced knowledge of MS office suite of applications

The Nice to Haves

  • Experience with enterprise resource planning tools (SAP, Oracle) preferred.

In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the compensation, or a range thereof, for roles in locations where legally required. $96,600.00 - $179,400.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros.
