Your New Role…

We are looking for a Senior Data Science Manager to join the Content Data Science team at Warner Bros. Discovery.

As a Data Science Manager, you will be responsible for building and growing teams that focus on understanding Warner Bros. Discovery’s content, its catalog offerings, and how to best serve its millions of users in the coming years by forecasting performance and optimizing capital allocation. In this challenging and greenfield space, you will need to leverage your extensive background in statistics, operations research, and machine learning to build foundational frameworks to serve business stakeholders in marketing, content, and product. In addition, you will need to grow and mentor managers and data scientists at Warner Bros. Discovery.

Your Role Accountabilities…

Develop solutions and build prototypes to solve business problems using machine learning, operations research, and statistical analysis

Create impact by solving ambiguous problems and driving clarity

Synthesize analytics and statistical approaches into easy-to-consume storylines, both visually and verbally, and provide actions for executive audiences

Craft project roadmaps with business stakeholders and lead data science teams on execution

Provide coaching and mentorship to the data scientists on your team

Qualifications & Experience…

MS. or Ph.D. degree in Statistics, Machine Learning, Operations Research, or other quantitative fields preferred.

At least 8 years of experience in an industry setting, with 3 years of management experience

Advanced knowledge of underlying mathematical foundations of statistics, machine learning, optimization, and analytics

Experienced in Python and SQL

Understanding of model deployment and CI/CD

Experience in gradient boosted machines, operations research and optimization, and networks/graphs (Preferred)

Proven ability in building relationships and collaborate with stakeholders across large organizations (Preferred)

Excellent verbal and written communications skills (Preferred)

The Legal Bits…

In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the compensation, or a range thereof, for roles in locations where legally required. $172,200.00 - $319,800.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros. Discovery provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and paid time off (PTO).
