Job Description

Data Science develops and implements state-of-the-art predictive models including but not limited to propensity-to-buy modeling, clustering, survival modeling, optimization and customer lifetime value for the purposes of sales and marketing, health/clinical services and network services. This incumbent will be responsible for creating value to International Markets through delivering the predictive models. You will excel in this role if you enjoy a good challenge, are comfortable and thrive with complexity and ambiguity, and can effectively integrate business acumen with data science expertise and want to work with people from different areas of the world; Our markets stretch from New Zealand and Asia through the UK! If you enjoy adhering to “best practices”, make decisions/recommendations based on evidence derived from data, and understand how to use methods to gather evidence then consider working with us!

If you’re interested in becoming our newest Data Scientist here is what you will do:

Responsibilities

• Work with Heads of Data and Analytics and Product Owners to understand business problems and formulate data analysis and modeling approaches. Business problems are from the domains of sales and marketing, health/clinical services and network services
• Employ state-of-the-data machine learning algorithms to develop and validate predictive / prescriptive models
• Manage end-to-end modeling and solution development life-cycle from requirements gathering, identification of data sources, model development and evaluation, to data processes and model implementation
• Implement predictive / prescriptive models in the manner that their effects are trackable
• Institutionalize predictive model development and implementation to ultimately create value to the businesses
• Develop profit optimization models with data and through rigorous simulation
• Work with Data Governance to ensure full compliance of data protection and AI ethics
• Work with Data Engineering to keep abreast of data enrichment including first and third party data

Qualifications

• 3+ years' experience in the fields of health insurance, health services or financial institutes
• Working knowledge of clinical data, clinical intervention design and prescriptive analytics
• Coding capability in SAS, R, Python, etc.
• Experience with Cloud computing especially Amazon Workstation and Google Cloud Platform
• Understanding and experience in supervised and unsupervised machine learning methods such as regression, decision trees, random forest, gradient boosting, deep learning, k-nearest neighbor, Naive Bayes classifier, support vector machine, and ensemble methods
• Ability to work in multiple time zones as necessary
• Multi-Lingual language abilities are highly preferred
• M.S. or Ph.D. degree in Statistics, Actuary, Applied Mathematics or Management Science highly preferred

This position is not eligible to be performed in Colorado.
