Job Description

The HR Analytics team is hiring a new Senior Advisor to work with stakeholders to define key workforce questions/issues, design analyses to answer those questions, and interpret the results to drive actions. The role requires competence in all phases of analytics projects, but the focus would on the design and execution of the statistical analysis and interpretation phases. This role will be relied on as a thought leader in research design and statistical analysis for the HR function.

The HR Analytics team gathers and analyzes data to improve our understanding of workforce dynamics and identify leverage points for improving both workforce and business outcomes. We work with leadership to identify key issues to track and investigate, conducts deep-dive analyses to inform strategic decisions, and coaches HR colleagues on how to better leverage workforce data.

Responsibilities:

  • Leverage deep expertise in research methods/design, and statistics to develop approaches to answering key workforce questions
  • Conduct statistical analyses using correlation, regression (logistic and linear), random forest, and other techniques
  • Gather, blend, and structure databases from multiple sources, including Workday, and employee surveys to evaluate and optimize HR programs using data blending packages (Alteryx, Prism).
  • Support/Engage HR leaders and business partners, as appropriate to support analytic projects
  • Lead the design and specification of predictive models (i.e. building, holding, and validating) using statistical packages (SAS, R, or similar)
  • Conduct validation tests on quit risk scores created using predictive models · Develop metrics and diagrams using ONA (Organizational Network Analysis) data
  • Based on metrics and analysis, develop recommended actions to improve workforce outcomes
  • Identify the most effective way to visualize results in order to tell a clear and concise story that drives action
  • Serve as peer reviewer of analyses conducted by other team members to ensure results are accurate and reliable
  • Develop realistic and achievable plans to drive project to successful implementation
  • Develop documentation, provide guidance, and create re-useable SAS/SQL, R, or Alteryx code allowing others to replicate your work
  • Develop and maintain documentation related to evaluation analytics and research
  • Collaborate with team members to identify and implement improvements to processes, work methods, and procedures
  • Prioritize and multi-task work

Qualifications

  • PhD or equivalent work experience (degree in labor economics, applied mathematics, applied statistics, social science) preferred
  • 8+ years of work experience
  • Deep experience applying statistical analysis to practical problems
  • Problem solving skills
  • Data visualization skills
  • Data interpretation skills
  • Understanding of HR program and human capital delivery system processes
  • Proficient in using statistical packages: SAS, R or similar
  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral)
  • Solid interpersonal skills, including the ability to work closely with other team members and collaborate with HR leaders
