As the leader of the Scalable Insights team, your role specifically will be to define the vision of enabling Gartner to leverage technology, data, tech and AI-driven insights to deliver digital sources of value to our clients. You would define approaches, bring the organization along, collect and automate processing of relevant Gartner data into reusable insights across the Tools organization, and capture Tools digital exhaust for reuse.

The ideal candidate should have an analytical and scalable product mindset, experience building data- and ML-driven enterprise solutions at scale, and ability to collaborate across organizational boundaries to set up scalable and repeatable data collection processes. Come join us building something great!

Key responsibilities:

Setting the vision and bringing the organization along:

  • Define future vision for the function, identify new data insight opportunities, lead cross-BU and executive alignment, and run cross-organizational efforts to execute on data collection, insight generation and usage.
  • Responsible for strategic alignment and integration activities with functions across Gartner such as consulting and research while leading and developing a global diverse team of junior to mid-level analytics talent.

Data acquisition:

  • Leading a globally diverse team to deliver consistent and reusable data assets and insights from identified priority data sources, both from within Gartner and external, for multiple tech-driven applications.
  • Set up scalable, automated, tech-driven processes.
  • Enable self-service sourcing and consumption.

Tools Digital exhaust:

  • Automatically capture, process and organize digital exhaust produced by tools and user interactions, for insight generation and reuse by other tools
  • Deliver insights for machine consumption (e.g., APIs) and ad-hoc human exploration (e.g., dashboards)

New data-driven innovation and asset creation:

  • Identify, evaluate, and build automated processes to reuse Gartner data assets for Tools needs (coming from Research, Consulting, Conferences, and other business units)

Product, strategy, and team leadership:

  • Own the strategy and business case for Scalable Insights team.
  • Develop a roadmap, in conjunction with customers, executives, services, sales, and engineering.
  • Lead brainstorming and collaborative problem-solving sessions with stakeholders across Gartner to define and implement product concepts, features, and functionality.
  • Provide insightful analytics necessary to manage and run the businesses.
  • Manage product development, launch and product lifecycle management, including continuous improvement.
  • Lead, manage and develop a global team of high performing associates.

Qualifications:

  • 13+ years of combined experience in consulting, advisory, product management, product development, or general management roles
  • Proven track record of product innovation, including ideation, and agile development, with specific data products experience, considered a subject matter expert
  • Experienced in managing geographically dispersed teams
  • Experienced in and strong understanding of data science, statistics, and engineering fundamentals
  • Experience working with senior-level executives and ability to influence cross-functional teams across all levels of the organization and work collaboratively in a matrixed environment
  • Demonstrated ability to independently manage multiple complex projects simultaneously
  • A bias for action, including balancing tradeoffs, a willingness to roll up their sleeves and do what it takes to get things done (player-coach mentality)
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, as well as excellent organizational, interpersonal, and team skills
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field; Master’s or other advanced degree preferred

As a leader in our organization, the ideal candidate should consistently exhibit the 5 core values of Gartner’s culture:

Integrity: Do the right thing.

Objectivity: Be independent and unbiased in everything we do.

No-limits mindset: See opportunities where others don't; never settle for the status quo.
