Job Description

As a thought leader in supply chain analytics, generative AI, and Digital transformation, you will build insights and advise senior supply chain leaders on leading trends, use cases, and best practices in the field.

What you’ll do: 

  • Support Gartner Supply Chain’s coverage of supply chain analytics across the extended supply chain, focusing on the impact of analytics on decision-making, and overall supply chain performance.
  • Partner with adjacent functional experts in supply chain strategy, planning, sourcing, manufacturing, network design, and logistics to support clients in orchestrating a supply chain analytics strategy across the end-to-end supply chain.
  • Advise senior supply chain leaders across all subsectors of manufacturing and retailing, translating research positions to a specific industry’s supply chain.
  • Lead process and capability assessments to help supply chain leaders leverage external diagnostics to improve performance.
  • Produce innovative, thought-leading, impactful, analytically deep, fact-based research.
  • Prepare and deliver high-value presentations and other materials.
  • Support the Gartner sales team in driving new business through proof of capability discussions.
  • Drive client demand for your advice and insight
  • Lead or participate in research community meetings to discuss research issues and collaborate effectively with peers.

What you’ll need:

  • 10+ years of experience in supply chain analytics / data roles in complex manufacturing and or retail networks, with at least 5 years in senior supply chain management roles.
  • Experience in collaborating with supply chain functions and teams to deliver analytics solutions; familiarity with key supply chain processes, technology solutions, analytics to support end-to-end supply chain performance.
  • Working knowledge of emerging trends like robotics, AI and Generative AI and their impact on supply chain digital transformation.
  • Possess excellent communication skills both verbal and written; preferably have had the experience of ‘main stage’ speaking.
  • Demonstrate strong analytical skills, applying conceptual models, recognizing patterns, and drawing conclusions.
  • Master’s degree in a data / analytics discipline or equivalent experience supporting the supply chain function preferred. Bachelor's degree in a related field required.
  • Limited (<20 days/year) domestic and international travel as needed.
