Role Description

The Portfolio Analytics Group (PAG) within Aladdin Financial Engineering delivers actionable insights to our investment and client teams, grounded in our proficiency of Aladdin data, analytics, technology and processes. PAG collaborates with investors, risk managers and portfolio consultants to address client challenges with innovative technology solutions delivered with the scale of Aladdin across all asset classes and client segments.

The team seeks an experience Applied Analytics Specialist who will augment our leadership team in the region. This is an interdisciplinary role focused on advancing investment outcomes by applying Aladdin’s data, analytics and technology in new and innovative ways. You will be responsible for driving collaboration with portfolio management teams in the region as well as strengthening relationships with local partner teams. As part of this, you will engage a range of stakeholders in the Portfolio Management Group (PMG) and ETF & Index Investing (EII). Equally important, this position requires helping manage a team of 1-3 analysts/associates, developing their careers and ensuring execution of multiple projects for a suite of stakeholders.

Key Responsibility

  • Project Management and stakeholder engagement
    • Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to identify research, data, analytics challenges, and able to design solutions to improve decision process and performance in scale
    • Strengthen the relationship write regional Portfolio Management team and ETF & Index Investment team to build strategic partnership
    • Ensure successful, high-impact delivery of results aligned with the Portfolio Management Group’s strategic priorities and PAG’s value proposition
    • Be abreast of new developments in the space of Gen AI, data, analytics, technology and core Aladdin and seek ways to apply them to local teams’ business use cases
    • Collaborate with global team to be aware of the initiatives in other region and seek ways to apply them to local team’s business use case
  • Provide leadership in developing PAG talent
    • Jointly with the local leadership team, accountable for setting strategy, stakeholder engagement, partner management, and team organization to deliver the highest ROI
    • Partner with the local leadership team to
      • Drive a cohesive, collaborative, and inclusive culture for the PAG APAC team
      • Coach, develop, and manage team members
    • Inspire PAG team members globally by being a strong role model

Qualifications

  • 5-8 years in a financial services or technology setting
  • Strong critical thinking and confirmed leadership experience using technology to solve problems at scale
  • Degree in business, computer science, economics, finance, mathematics, statistics or other quantitative field of study
  • Relentless desire for understanding how processes and technology works; Creativity in solving unconventional problems, entrepreneurial drive to learn new skills and technologies
  • Strong knowledge and experience using and overseeing project teams using Python, SQL, and UNIX
  • Experience with data sets and analytics used for investment workflows
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience in product and project management; Ability to successfully manage multiple workstreams with clear, transparent communication, as well as time management skills are required
