Job Description

We are looking for an individual who is driven and curious, with a coding background or education in the finance industry. As part of the DAA team, you will work with business and technology partners to develop and deliver data analytics and automation solutions. The role will involve writing clean, scalable, and sophisticated code in languages (such as Python, SQL, and VBA) and producing insightful business intelligence (such as reports in Tableau or Power BI dashboards). Knowledge of AI/ML concepts and professional experience preferred.

This role requires a business oriented approach and creativity in finding ways to support the sales process, optimize operations, and mitigate risks. The candidate should be able to handle a steep learning curve and a dynamic environment. The ideal candidate is resilient, flexible, and persistent. This role will offer significant exposure to BlackRock's global senior leaders. The role is for problem-solvers and individuals that do not shy away from seeking help outside their immediate network. In this role, you will frequently face new and challenging situations.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Build scalable data pipelines by writing Python or VBA code to load data into databases that can handle large amounts of data.
  • Create, run, support, and modify various automated workflows that help business partners.
  • Craft SQL queries to optimally analyze and manage data in servers.
  • Document automations thoroughly and use distributed version control system (Azure DevOps) to ensure business continuity
  • Develop and maintain Tableau or Power BI dashboards that are informative, clear, and attractive
  • Provide innovative solutions and tools for complex problems that can be used by non-technical users
  • Use various AI techniques such as Machine Learning (ML), Natural Language Processing (NLP), and LLMs (Large Language Models) to improve processes
  • Develop and fine-tune predictive, classification, and regression models
  • Create an ensemble of AI services (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud) that quickly solves a need of problem
  • Optimize LLM (Large Language Models) prompts and context to improve quality of responses
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of the DAA team's processes and methods.
  • Collaborate, assist and respect others, and keep improving our skills.
  • Stay ahead of with the latest trends and best practices in Artificial Intelligence, data analytics and automation.

Skills/Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in data analysis and data visualization skills are required
  • Relevant experience in natural language processing and data science skills are desirable
  • A bachelor's degree in business, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, Actuarial Science, or related fields
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish, with written and oral fluency.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in both English and Spanish. Portuguese is a plus.
  • Programming skills in Python, SQL (with knowledge of views and stored procedures), and VBA.
  • Skills in creating and applying AI/ML models.
  • Knowledge of Azure, AWS or Google Cloud services and tools.
  • Creative and resourceful problem-solving skills, with the ability to generate innovative solutions.
  • Organized and meticulous, with the ability to handle multiple tasks at once.
  • Excellent communication skills and able to convey information clearly and concisely to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Self-driven, proactive, and committed to achieving objectives.
