Job Description

Duties: Evaluate, architect, design, develop, and implement software solutions to perform quality control and deliver risk analytics and risk reporting across thousands of portfolios daily. Provide technical support for software applications in BlackRock's Green Package production process apart from QC & Reporting processes. Participate in Aladdin projects to improve data quality, scalability, reliability, and resiliency and delivery of operational tools for higher client satisfaction. Contribute to the team’s software design, development, documentation, and its integration with related components across the greater BlackRock software base. Delegate tasks to team members and monitor day-to-day progress toward project completion, conducting coaching, and training to improve their knowledge and skill set and conducting performance reviews.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field and 72 months of experience in the job offered, as an Associate, Data Engineering; Analyst, Software Developer, Automation Team, Portfolio Analytics Group; Analyst, Portfolio Analytics Group; Senior Systems Engineer, or in a related occupation. Alternatively, Employer will accept a Master's degree and 48 months of experience.

Experience must include 72 months (with Bachelor's) or 48 months (with Master's) of experience involving the following: developing large-scale distributed software systems and streaming systems using open source distributed frameworks; developing and releasing code, including organizing deployments, conducting unit testing, participating in system integration testing, and providing support during User Acceptance testing; preparing design document deliverables and conducting documentation reviews; developing software products with Boost/C++ and core Java products including Spring and JDBC/Hibernate; utilizing scripting languages including Perl, Python, Ruby, or SQL/MySQL; and utilizing development best practices, design patterns, and process design methodologies including Agile.

Our hybrid work model

BlackRock’s hybrid work model is designed to enable a culture of collaboration and apprenticeship that enriches the experience of our employees, while supporting flexibility for all. Employees are currently required to work at least 3 days in the office each week, with the flexibility to work from home up to 2 days a week; some business groups may require more time in the office due to their roles and responsibilities.
