Job Description

The candidate will be performing duties related to all aspects of portfolio analytics development:

  • Build and evolve our technology platform and applications to better deliver models and analytics to clients.
  • Build quantitative software to solve various type of portfolio risk analysis problems with accuracy and scale.
  • Apply fast-growing technologies such as machine learning and cloud technologies to enable more powerful modelling and analysis.
  • Work together with researchers to design, develop, and test new and improved financial models.
  • Contribute to high-profile projects that advance BlackRock’s top strategic priorities.

Key Skills & Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of proven programming experience using Python/Java or other technologies.
  • Prior experience with enterprise software development or complex research/engineering academic projects.
  • Ability to apply existing algorithms or models to real-world investment and business problems.
  • Enthusiasm, flexibility, and maturity to adapt to the needs of a dynamic group and deliver within strict timeframes.
  • Technical curiosity, detail focused and strong communication skills.
  • Undergraduate or advanced degree in computer science, financial engineering, mathematics, or related fields.
  • Familiarity with financial, mathematical, and statistical theory is a plus.

Our hybrid work model
