THE ROLE:

In this team you will be building the technology used to accelerate the latest AI models addressing areas such as vision, speech recognition, and language and generative models working with the leading engineers in AMD’s CPU, GPU and Adaptable Compute teams

THE PERSON:

In this role you will be developing the key components of the software involved in AI/ML frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, TVM, MLIR for acceleration using AMD devices. You are someone that has insight into performance optimization, can work independently optimizing code and has deep familiarity with the way AI/ML algorithms are implemented.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Work with AMD’s architecture specialists to improve future products
• Apply a data minded approach to target optimization efforts
• Stay informed of software and hardware trends and innovations, especially pertaining to algorithms and architecture
• Design and develop new groundbreaking AMD technologies
• Debugging/fix existing issues and research alternative, more efficient ways to accomplish the same work
• Develop technical relationships with peers and partners

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

• Strong object-oriented programming background, C/C++ preferred
• Ability to write high quality code with a keen attention to detail
• Deep understanding of AI frameworks like PyTorch/TensorFlow
• Experience with AI/ML compiler stacks in TVM, MLIR
• Experience with profiling cache and memory performance
• Effective communication and problem-solving skills

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

• Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.
