Senior Director Software Engineering, AI Solutions

THE ROLE:

This role will manage a team of Software Engineers that are designing the next generation of ML and AI into the Enterprise Data Center GPU space.

THE PERSON:

We are looking for a Sr. Director of Software Engineering with a proven track record working in the intersection of software engineering and artificial intelligence frameworks and applications. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Leading the architecture, design and development of the overall System software, applications, and AI solutions platform.
• Delivering software solutions in line with product roadmap on time with high quality.
• Involved in cross function team interaction and engagement with various key players and stakeholders in the organization.
• Play a role in all the phases of software development, from requirement gathering, analysis, design, development, testing and final release to customers.
• Provide clear and timely communication related to status and other key aspects of the project to leadership team.
• Responsible for working with customers and internal support teams for resolving critical customer escalations on a need basis.
• Good understanding of modern software development life cycle stages - design, implementation, documentation, and testing of software code implementing product features and requirements
• Willingness to learn skills, tools, and methods to advance the quality, consistency, and timeliness of AMD software products.
• Experience with AI frameworks, AI models and applications for said models.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

• Solid management and leadership team. Strong project management background.
• Expertise managing multiple (3+) and geographically dispersed teams and Sr managers.
• Knowledge of AI/ML frameworks like PyTorch, Tensor flow, JAX, etc. is preferred.
• Knowledge of Acceleration platforms like GPU, TPU, APU, FPGAs is preferred

ACADEMIC CREDINTIALS:

BS with several years of related experience or MS with years of related experience or PhD with years of related experience in Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering or Computer Science or related equivalent from top universities

LOCATION: Bellevue, Washington

At AMD, your base pay is one part of your total rewards package. Your base pay will depend on where your skills, qualifications, experience, and location fit into the hiring range for the position.
