Job Description

Would you like to be part of a world class team enabling Machine Learning applications for the world’s mightiest supercomputers? AMD is searching for talented and highly motivated Software Engineering interns to join our team of developers preparing applications for the next generation of computational accelerators.

This position is for a software engineer specializing in Machine Learning and Deep Learning applications. The primary responsibility is enabling widely used AI models to run on AMD CPU and GPU platforms.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, mathematics, statistics or a related field.
• Experience with deep learning and modern models.
• Strong programming skills in Python, C++, or Java.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

WHAT WOULD SET YOU APART:

• Master's courses in computer science, mathematics, statistics or a related field.
• Experience with Deep Learning framework such as PyTorch and Tensorflow.
• Experience with analysis and solution of AI problems typically found in Data Analytics applications
• Experience in implementing and optimizing parallel methods on GPU accelerators for ML/DL algorithms
• Performance analysis skills for both CPU and GPU
• Experience with singularity, docker, and Kubernetes.

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

We are looking for a highly motivated and skilled machine learning intern to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in deep learning and modern models. As a machine learning intern, you will work alongside our machine learning engineers to enable libraries and applications for Instinct GPUs in a Cloud environment. .The candidate should have a demonstrated track record of implementing Machine/Deep Learning methodologies and improving performance for applications and libraries widely used for Artificial Intelligence. Must be self-motivated and possess the ability to work well within a team environment.
