JOB LOCATION: Austin, TX

ONSITE: This is an onsite position – the Intern/Co-op is required to relocate if necessary and work full-time (40 hours) from the Austin office. 

PROGRAM TERM: Summer 2024 (May 20, 2024 - August 9, 2024)

ABOUT THE TEAM:

The Product Development engineering team is responsible for post silicon validation for new products (Post silicon validation involves data analysis for yield, characterization, product definition and system level test).

This position is for a software/electrical engineer specializing in data science applications.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

AMD is searching for talented and highly motivated engineering interns to join our server product development team in building data analysis chains, automation pipelines and data analysis tools.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, mathematics, statistics or a related field.
  • Strong programming skills in Python and SQL.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to take ownership of projects and drive them to completion
  • Ability to manage your time effectively

WHAT WOULD SET YOU APART:

  • Master's courses in computer science, electrical engineering, mathematics, statistics or a related field.
  • Experience with python based standard learning frameworks such as PyTorch and TensorFlow.
  • Previous experience with big data analytics.
  • Experience with data visualization techniques (tableau, Power-Bi, python)
  • Relevant industry experience focused on Data science applications.

 WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

  • Currently pursuing MS degree in related fields
