Summer 2023 RTL Co-Op/Intern

JOB LOCATION:

Fort Collins, Colorado, USA

WHAT KIND OF ROLE IS THIS:

ONSITE: This is an onsite position – the intern/co-op is required to relocate if necessary and work full-time (40 hours) from the location office.

PROGRAM TERM:

Fall: Start Date August 14 or August 21, 2023 – December 15, 2023

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

AMD’s Cores Organization delivers industry leading CPU’s and caches that are the foundation of AMD’s server, client, and gaming business. We are looking for an RTL co-op/intern engineer to join this innovative team as a technical contributor. They will build their expertise as they help the team deliver cutting-edge designs in a dynamic environment. The candidate will join the team based in Fort Collins, CO.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS

The candidate should have strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to details and a willingness and desire to work and grow their skills in the area of microprocessor RTL. This position requires creativity and innovation, but also excellent verbal and written communication skills. We work in small teams, but we are part of a large cross-site Core’s organization, so teamwork is also vital our success.

We are looking for candidates interested in the following aspects of microprocessor design: Microprocessor architecture, microarchitecture, Functional verification, RTL/Logic debug, x86 assembly test development, test environment/infrastructure/tools development, DFT/BIST verification, ATPG.

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

Senior year candidates of BS in EE, CS, CSE (or similar) program. First-year candidate of MS in EE, CS or CSE (or similar) program preferred.

At AMD, your base pay is one part of your total rewards package. Your base pay will depend on where your skills, qualifications, experience, and location fit into the hiring range for the position.
