WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We’re looking for a Senior Analyst, Inventory Data & Insights within North American Supply & Inventory Planning.

This role is a member of the North America Inventory Operations team responsible for maintaining healthy and productive inventory to serve the NA marketplace. It will be part of the newly created Inventory Data & Insights team tasked with providing insights that drive timely fact-based decisions for effective inventory management.

The candidate needs to have excellent analytical skills, ability to work with complex datasets, and the passion and drive for creating the future of inventory at Nike.

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

If this is you, you’ll deliver analytical insights that enable North America to meet key performance objectives, optimize inventory, and elevate deliveries to the marketplace – resulting in sustainable, profitable growth for North America.

A typical day/week revolves around the following:

  • Translating ambiguous business questions into analytical or simulation models
  • Implementation of data-driven recommendations/solutions
  • Proactive scenario planning
  • Developing innovative solutions and finding insights in complex, large datasets
  • Monitoring changes in the marketplace and business to proactively anticipate near-term and long-term changes to inventory
  • Strategic partnership with team members to lead analysis that informs business strategy

WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH

You will report into the Manager, Inventory Data & Insights within NA Inventory Operations. You will partner with various multi-functional partners – collaborating with Geo and Global teams across DSM, Nike Direct, Finance, Operations & Logistics, among others.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher, or combination of relevant education, experience and training.
  • Master's degree in data science, supply chain operations, engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • 3+ years experience working with analytic tools such as SAS, R, Python, SQL etc.
  • Experience building and maintaining optimization, simulation and scenario planning models.
  • Excellent analytical skills required. Demonstrable ability to analyze complex information and communicate in a compelling manner to executive leadership and multi-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated success driving change and achieving business results.
  • Experience working with large data sets.
  • Strong self-motivation and ability to manage through ambiguity.
  • Must have a tolerance for a complex, constantly evolving and dynamic work environment.
  • Experience in inventory management or familiarity with inventory data strongly preferred.
