NIKE, Inc., Beaverton, OR. Translate complex business problem statements into analysis requirements and work with internal customers to define data product details based on expressed stakeholder needs. Document systems/analytics solutions to the business, translating complex functionality into business relevant language. Independently support end-to-end analysis to inform product strategy, data architecture and reporting decisions. Drive the solving of complex data problems leveraging analytical and statistical rigor. Develop SQL queries and data visualizations to fulfill ad-hoc analysis requests and ongoing reporting needs leveraging standard query syntax. Thoroughly document data architecture solutions, business requirements, training material and business processes for both business and technical audiences. Validate data integrity within back-end data assets and data products supporting accurate and consistent reporting and analytics. Serve as subject matter expert on data and business process within area of focus. Drive adoption of and socialize the data products with end users through user training. Support best practices in reporting and analysis: data integrity, unit testing, data quality control, system integration testing, modelling, validation, and documentation. Monitor and troubleshoot operational or data issues in the data pipelines.

Applicant must have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or Mechanical Engineering and 5 years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or a related occupation. Experience must include:

  • Data Mining;
  • Data Profiling;
  • SQL queries and data visualization;
  • Agile methodologies and principles, such as Scrum;
  • Database management systems, including Oracle, MySql, Teradata, Netezza, SQL Server, or DB2;
  • Quantitative analysis to drive and validate analytics solution requirements;
  • Translation of business objectives and questions into data architecture, KPIs, and reporting;
  • Design and implementation practices in data visualization tools, such as Tableau, IBM Cognos, MicroStrategy, PowerBI, or QlikV; and
  • LEAN, Kanban, and XP Programming.
