Role and Responsibilities

• Design and implement highly scalable big data analytics systems in AWS cloud environment
• Develop engineering solutions to collect, aggregate and automate large scale data flows from varying data sources
• Develop aggregated data table based on data lake architecture
• Develop Tableau data sources for data analysis and insights
• Implement best DevOps practices for high availability, scalability and reliability of data processing infrastructure

Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master Degree in Computer Science, Big Data, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Engineering or similar formal education;
• 3-5 years of experience with large-scale distributed systems as pertains to data warehouse design, data storage and cloud computing;
• Advanced disciplinary knowledge in data collection, ETL development and data modeling;
• Ability to effectively communicate system architecture and design to peers and distributed teams, delivering products with top notch quality in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong knowledge with Amazon AWS technologies e.g. S3, EMR, Redshift, Athena, Lambda, Kinesis SageMaker etc. Familiar with data engineering tools like Airflow, Spark, R, SQL;
• Strong development skills in Python, experienced with CICD tools such as GitHub and Circle CI;
• Good knowledge of Tableau, capable of preparing data source and data extract;
• Strong knowledge with DevOps work, e.g. building micro services using Kubernetes, Docker, developing terraform (TFE) for production data pipeline and infra deployment.
   

Bonus Skills

• AWS certification
• Knowledge of programming and/or scripting languages (Java, bash, Node JS etc.)
• Experience in Data Analytics and Data Visualization
• Experience as a Database Administrator (DBA) or similar data operation experience
• Knowledge of machine learning and deep learning and related tools
• Hands-on understanding of scalability and high availability systems
• Knowledge data engineering tools with Azure and Google cloud platform (GCP)
• Experience in mobile services for enterprise market and related services
