Role and Responsibilities

  • Lead and coach a team of experienced data scientists with the goal of improving factory outcomes including yield, excursion prevention, cycle-time, cost, and output.
  • The ideal candidate has hands on experience implementing solutions that utilize the full data science cycle including data extraction, cleaning, exploration, machine learning, as well as visualization for end users.
  • Strong people skills with ability to listen and build consensus among a very experienced team.
  • Manage and mentor a highly technical team in their technical and professional development.
  • Implements factory improvements derived by signals generated using department’s machine learning applications.
  • Simplifies complex topics and communicates effectively at all levels of the organization.
  • Collaborates with leaders across the organization to understand business problems, find opportunities, and translate those requirements into technical solutions.
  • Researches new technologies and methods across data science, data engineering, and data visualization to improve the technical capabilities of the team.
  • Responsible for the quality of team’s deliverables (both accuracy as well as clarity).
  • Documents white papers / trade secrets.
  • Budget/Project Management which include software licenses and hardware purchases.
  • Work days and hours: 1st-Shift, M-F 8am - 5pm.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in “STEM” field (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics or Data Science).
  • Masters preferred.
  • At least 2 years of hands-on experience manipulating and analyzing complex, high-volume, high-dimensionality data from varying sources.
  • Semiconductor Manufacturing Knowledge.
  • A proven track record of using quantitative analysis to deliver business outcomes.
  • Programming in different statistical languages such (SAS, Python, R, Spark).
  • Experience in software development toolkits (Jira and Git).
  • Agile/Scrum Development Experience.
