The SVP of Engineering leads the entire Engineering Organization and will ensure that we continue to grow a world-class technical team of elite engineers. Key Responsibilities:

  • Set the overall engineering strategy for the entire engineering org consisting of a number of feature teams, Platform team, SRE and functional teams including Security, Compliance and PMO. Drive reengineering modernization efforts to build a world class SaaS system.
  • Drive the overall product development strategy and architecture rooted in deep domain knowledge in one or more of Deep Learning, Generative AI and Big Data. Keep the organization at the forefront of all the latest advancements in AI, ML, NLP, LLMs, GenAI, and related technologies.
  • Align strategy with business objectives, and ensure rapid delivery of quality results. Drive execution of the roadmap with resource allocation, project management and tech debt management, with high degree of reliability.
  • Define and maintain a bar for technical excellence. Own budgets and planning.
  • Partner with product organization to help synthesize company vision into a viable roadmap for feature teams.
  • Actively engage with customers and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to identify opportunities for applying AI/ML/NLP to address critical challenges.
  • Own Service Reliability and Drive Operational Excellence through metrics, process and culture of continuous improvement.
  • Attract and engage world-class engineering talent for the team and the broader organization. Mentor & develop teams, and inspire the career growth for top talent. Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or related fields or equivalent practical experience
  • 5+ years of experience in a Cloud native product (either hyperscaler or startup on cloud)
  • Experience building and delivering machine learning and/or data platforms/tools
  • Experience managing a global team
  • Operational excellence in running large scale systems
  • 2+ years of experience in SVP-level role, managing Engineering team of 200-500 people, overseeing multiple product cycles with same product
  • (Preferred) Overseen Product Support, SRE, Security
  • (Preferred) Transition from Enterprise Direct to PLG, On-prem to Cloud.
