Dolby’s Information Development & Experience (IDX) team’s vision is to accelerate the understanding of Dolby technologies. The team’s mission is to provide clear and essential information so that customers meet their needs successfully using Dolby technologies.

We are seeking an Information Development Manager to lead our high-performing team to rapidly iterate and provide customers with optimized information solutions. This role will manage a portfolio of regional and global projects, assign team resources, engage sponsors and stakeholders, and integrates extensive experiences to set the strategic direction, drive budgets/operations, and achieve objectives. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage an information development team.
  • Manage a portfolio of regional and global projects by assigning and allocating team resources and engaging stakeholders.
  • Leverage extensive experience to drive the strategic direction and achieve objectives.
  • Develop and manage budgets, set goals, and manage operations aligned to business objectives.
  • Interpret customer needs and guide the team to identify opportunities that provide an exceptional information experience.
  • Ensure decisions, work quality and outcomes positively impact customer success.
  • Implement processes that improve collaboration, cross-functional team efficiency, and quality of deliverables.
  • Provide guidance to resolve complex issues and meet schedules.
  • Coach and mentor team members to develop skills and abilities to help us continuously improve and evolve with the future of work.
  • Identify actions to build the path forward, leading the team in the dynamic and breakthrough landscape of emerging technologies.
  • Explore opportunities to leverage AI and prompt engineering to keep pace with the evolving industry.
  • Actively set, monitor, and manage OKRs to align team efforts with organizational objectives and goals.
  • Apply customer data to enable decisions and operations.
  • Assist teams with customer data analysis and visualization.
  • Foster continuous learning, skills improvement, and development by identifying growth opportunities, mentoring team members, and facilitating training.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Technical Communication, Information Science, or related field.
  • 5+ years of team management experience overseeing full-time members, contractors, and interns.
  • 7+ years of experience developing technical information.
  • Proven leadership, strategic planning, and change management skills.
  • Experience as a certified SCRUM Master or Product Owner with expertise in SCRUM/Agile methodologies.
  • Working understanding of UX research, data analytics, personalization, and emerging technologies like generative AI.
  • Enthusiastic to explore Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and emerging technologies, and assist with process and tool design.
  • Experience with developing technical information at scale, with DITA, XML, Markdown, or similar; video creation and interactive content preferred.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Outstanding relationship building, collaboration, and communication skills to influence, inspire, and foster innovation.
  • Continuous experimenter oriented towards innovation and driving improvements.
  • Proficiency using tools including Oxygen XML Editor, GitLab, Jira, Confluence, and MS Office.

LI-SW1

The Atlanta Area base salary range for this full-time position is $129,700 - $158,500 which can vary if outside this location, plus bonus, benefits, and some roles may also include equity. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, competencies, experience, market demands, internal parity, and relevant education or training.
