SUMMARY 

The Advance Technology Group is looking to recruit interns in the Imaging Advanced Development group. The qualified candidate will use machine learning approaches to develop and implement novel image processing algorithms that enables the next generation of Dolby products.

RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Work with researchers to implement novel view synthesis and rendering algorithms
  • Investigate mapping of rendering algorithms to GPU using OpenGL 3D rendering library
  • Optimize rendering code – hide rendering artifacts caused by missing information
  • Experiment with decoding and applying view dependent effects

QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Candidates working towards a Bachelor’s or advanced degree in electrical engineering, computer science or related field
  • Experience with real-time graphics and graphics APIs (OpenGL, Metal, DirectX11/12)
  • Experience with general GPU programming for Nvidia devices (CUDA/compute shaders)
  • Familiarity with 3D rendering libraries for GPUs (OpenGL, Metal, DirectX11/12) a plus
  • Familiarity with video decoding a plus
  • Familiarity working on XR devices a plus
  • Strong team player, with good written and verbal communication skills

ELIGIBILITY 

Working towards a Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field. Must be available to work full-time Monday –Friday for 6 months between January 2023 - June 2023.
