As an intern, you will work closely with our team of engineers, researchers, and scientists to develop multimodal deployment models that leverage AI, human perception research, and subjective data from physiological and psychophysical experiments.

Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively with our team to design and implement experiments and studies in the fields of multimodal AI and computational neuroscience.
  • Collect and analyze multimodal data using state-of-the-art tools and techniques.
  • Develop and implement novel algorithms and techniques for signal processing and analysis.
  • Incorporate subjective data from human perception experiments into machine learning models to improve their scope, accuracy, and performance.
  • Participate in regular team meetings and present your findings to teams across Dolby.
  • Contribute to the development of research papers, patents, and presentations.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Master or PhD degree in computer science, electrical engineering, cognitive science, neuroscience, biomedical engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong programming skills in Python, Matlab, or similar languages.
  • Familiarity with machine learning techniques and algorithms.
  • An understanding of contemporary scientific research and experimental design, hypothesis testing, and collection of perceptual data.
  • Analytical skills and the ability to manipulate, visualize, and extract meaning from diverse data sets.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative.

Benefits

  • Gain hands-on experience in cutting-edge research in multimodal perception and computational neuroscience.
  • Work alongside fellow doctoral and advanced degree candidates and with experienced engineers, researcher and scientists specializing in AI, acoustics, vision science, neuroscience, and human perception.
  • Develop skills in data collection, analysis, and interpretation.

If you are passionate about multimodal perception and computational neuroscience and are looking for an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the field, we encourage you to apply for this internship. We welcome applicants from diverse backgrounds and are committed to creating an inclusive and supportive work environment.

We recognize that applying to internships can be a daunting process, especially if you have not had any previous internships, or if this is a new field of interest to you.
