Job Description

What you’ll do:

This position is part of a team of analysts that supports the Electrical Sector – Americas. It’s primarily responsible for delivering and supporting projects, database management and reporting of data related to sales, customers, and pricing. This position demands for candidate who can initiate and drive projects which involves Price analytics and solutions to businesses challenges. An energetic critical thinker, highly analytical and able to interpret meaning from data, skilled in driving process improvements, who demonstrates the drive, business acumen, and people capability to deliver results.

Major duties, functions and key responsibilities but not limited to are as follows:

a. Lead analytical projects from conceptualization to execution and partner with the business in implementation of the analysis for driving incremental sales and profits

b. Apply expertise in quantitative analysis, data mining and data visualization with a goal of improving user experience and business results and share insights with product and business teams

c. Identify and discover opportunities for utilizing advance analytics methods and support in developing the competencies in the analytical team problem identification and problem solving using advance analytics/statistics.

d. Anticipate business needs and serve up opportunities that will significantly improve top line growth, margin expansion, and bottom-line improvement.

e. Develop econometric and statistical models for various problems including projections, classification, clustering, pattern analysis, sampling, simulations, and so forth.

f. Create visibility of transactional data in appropriate forms to facilitate strategic initiatives.

g. Possess knowledge and experience in the acquisition, analysis, and display of data; and in extraction of information and knowledge from that data which supports decision making for business leaders.

h. Brings in tech full stack capabilities to the team for all ongoing and upcoming technology needs

i. Support in executing projects of strategic importance in the areas of Sales & Price Management

Qualifications:

o 5 to 8 years of pricing experience. Preferably in Manufacturing industry

o Graduate in Business Administration, Mathematics, Statistics, Commerce, Economics. MBA degree (Marketing or Finance) preferred

Skills:

o Experience in Data Validation, Data Integration, automations for Analytics and BI reporting

o Must have experience is building data connections and models in Power BI with advanced DAX function skills

o Should be able to conceptualize and develop prototypes quickly, working with a cross-discipline team of Design, Product, Data Science, and Analytics team

o Programming Skills – knowledge of statistical programming languages like R, Python, and database query languages like SQL, Hive, Pig is desirable.

o Experience working on developing and maintaining Alteryx workflows

o Technical proficiency in following areas is required:

MS – Office suite, should be very proficient with MS- Excel

Experience of working on BI tools like OBIEE, SAP-BW is an added advantage.

o Good applied statistical skills, including knowledge of statistical tests, distributions, regression, maximum likelihood estimators, etc

o Working knowledge of Process Improvement tools and methodologies

o Good organizational and time management skills, strong analytical skills, and the inter-personal skills to interact with all levels of management.

o Highly motivated individual with excellent oral and written communication skills.

o Strong problem-solving skills and ability to deal with ambiguities.

o Curiosity to explore the groundbreaking technologies and bake them into solutions.
