Eaton’s Electrical sector is currently seeking a Senior Bid Manager Analyst to join our team. This position will be remote.

Position Overview:

This position provides Bid Manager product applications leadership and support for Eaton’s Wiring Devices product line and Commercial and Residential Distribution Solutions (CRDS) Bid Manager Center of Excellence (CoE). 

Bid Manager is Eaton’s proprietary online application tool for configuring and quoting assembled products and project business.

Responsibility includes: providing subject matter expertise in Bid Manager and take off development processes; consulting with product teams; serve as the initial point of contact to gather and document requirements for creation and updating of product take offs; managing escalations; planning, prioritizing, and leading projects; coordinating with other product lines and Information Technology (IT) to continuously improve Bid Manager and related content

In this function, you will:

  • Manage in flow of sales, product line, and IT requests supporting the improvements of the Bid Manager system over time.
  • Partner with the CRDS product lines to determine priorities and develop quarterly, annual, and longer-term strategic roadmap for enhancement of the Bid Manager take offs. 
  • Ensure comprehensive and complete data is provided to the CRDS Bid Manager CoE for all requests, minimizing touch points and keeping all team members working as efficiently as possible.
  • Ensure quality of CoE deliverables by overseeing User Acceptance Testing of deliverables from the CoE as well as continuously work to review and improve CoE processes.
  • Regularly communicate project status and updates through project report out meetings with the product lines and key stakeholders.
  • Prepare and present on Bid Manager initiatives and their status in quarterly CRDS XLT Meetings and monthly Commercial Marketing and Operations meetings.
  • Supply data to and regularly update Bid Manager take off progress dashboard in Power BI for all CRDS stakeholders to access on-the-fly in the CRDS COSMOS workspace
  • Align deadlines and check-in points with the IT production release schedule for tasks assigned to the CRDS Bid Manager CoE.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with VOC function to create annual surveys for opportunities in coordination with key stakeholder meetings. (AE, Sales, Service Council, Roadmap, etc.)
  • Engage proactively with other Eaton businesses for best practices while continuously reviewing opportunities for growth.
  • Establish and facilitate regular product background training for CRDS Bid Manager CoE with various CRDS product lines.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in industrial, mechanical, electrical or electromechanical engineering, business administration or other science.
  • Minimum 2+ years of experience within an engineering role OR a graduate of Eaton’s OE-LDP
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Effective written and oral speaking skills and ability to speak to all levels of the organization

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Eaton’s Bid Manager, take off development processes and Pick Workbench
  • In-depth CRDS product knowledge and / or ability to gather necessary product data when needed
  • Six Sigma (or other quality / process improvement) training, certification, and / or practical application
  • Master degree in engineering, business administration or other science.
  • Experience with electronics and/or software
  • Project Management Knowledge
