WHAT WE'D LOVE YOU TO DO (AND LOVE DOING)

You’ll move beyond the team’s scope and work for the department. Typically, you’ll report into the Head of Engineering or above

You’ll be a go-to person for Product and Engineering Management for the systems within your department and you’ll be consulted on projects before they are initiated and given to the teams for delivery

You’ll own and drive the technical design creation for mid to large scale projects that your department is part of

You are proactive and initiate and execute process and technical improvements across the department You can assess the severity/impact of bugs quickly to help set priority and align this with Product and Engineering Management. You lead and ensure quality on operational artifacts (e.g. post-mortems, run books) for your area of responsibility Your technical solutions and narratives propose reasoned solutions factoring in all arguments (technical and commercial) and provide clear analysis of the trade-offs and wins in different approaches Through collaboration across teams and roles as well as your in-depth technical analysis and understanding of the system’s architecture and domain, you inform and enable business decisions that lead to reduction of costs, complexity, paying down technical debt, or unlocking customer value creation
