WHAT WE'D LOVE YOU TO DO (AND LOVE DOING)

You’ll be accountable for defining a research plan for large initiatives that typically span several programs or even pillars/departments

You’ll define best-practices and repeatable solutions to speed up experimentation of complex research plans at department level

Together with other principals, leaders, and teams in your department, you’ll facilitate the delivery of complex opportunities by guiding collaboration between different teams and presenting insights about status and challenges

You’ll take ownership of the results of your department, defining technical ways to ensure that new and existing data-driven capabilities developed in multiple product areas continue to deliver value

You’ll build multiple high-performing teams that deliver substantial projects that contribute to the Zalando Group Strategy

You are able to independently develop long-term roadmaps for research topics that span multiple product areas and address concrete business goals You can approach both department-wide and cross-department delivery projects and define a clear path to completion, taking into account the high amount of uncertainty that a research project of that scale involves You have a deep understanding of the business challenges that are faced by multiple product areas in your department and proactively explore solutions to overcome them in creative ways
