The Office of Digital Transformation at Lam Research is responsible for the creation of next generation business process and accelerated adoption of technology across the company. The Digital Transformation, Senior Manager for Knowledge Management is a unique opportunity to transform a market leading semiconductor company to scale for past and future growth at an unprecedented time in our industry. 

  • Lead the development of a knowledge strategy & framework aligned with the Digital Transformation principles & business strategy
  • Transform the way Lam uses digital tools and systems to better enable our operations, giving our employees & customers better tools and data for maximum efficiency
  • Work as a partner to lead transformation projects and collaborate with functional/cross functional teams, business teams and external suppliers/vendors as needed
  • Drive business change with departmental leaders through employees, enhanced process, and systems
  • Act as a cultural change to champion best known methods and processes to connect people and customers with knowledge to accelerate information sharing.

Other Job Responsibilities

  • Re-imagine processes and protocols for storing information, making it accessible, controlling access and capturing new knowledge
  • Identify & recommend best in breed Knowledge Management tools to harness cross-functional data making it easily accessible & usable
  • Promote KM and the use of standard approaches across teams, functions, locations, and/or business units
  • Enable new business models to drive new revenue streams
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure enterprise technology reflects knowledge flow processes and KM activities are integrated into digital platforms
  • Increase customer value through better outcomes
  • Conduct research, data analysis, and create reports
  • Maintain responsibility for completion and accuracy of work products
  • Conduct analysis on large data sets to support recommendations
  • Provide financial analysis/budget formulation to support transformation initiatives
  • Participate in team problem solving efforts and offer ideas to solve issues
  • Involvement in managing program finances and developing robust business cases
  • Business transformation with large manufacturing or capital equipment managers and data led offers

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Computer Science, Math, Statistics, or related field. MBA or master’s preferred but not required.
  • 8+ years preferred of proven experience in Knowledge Management, strong knowledge of operational processes, systems and tools, and improvement initiatives including experience in process digitalization and digital transformation in leading/fast growth companies
  • Experience in establishing & implementing global knowledge management strategies processes, and platforms for complex, high growth companies
  • Storyteller with an ability to drive organizational change management
  • Consistently shows exponential thinking and incremental execution
  • Understanding of best practices in the industry and application to real life
  • Proficient knowledge of KM systems implementation and development life cycles.
  • Deep understanding of cross functional business processes and connectivity
  • Demonstrates a growth mindset and has an eye to the art of the possible
  • Influences and drives change by driving partnerships and alignment across the orgs
  • Experience in managing end-to-end KM transformations and deep experience in Knowledge management, Data led services, and redefining business processes
  • Strong interpersonal skills; have cross-functional and inter-disciplinary engagement

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in consulting firm
  • Experience in high growth, complex companies
  • AI-Machine Learning concepts and experience with ML technology
  • Experience with SAP preferred or other ERP

 Salary and Benefits

CA San Francisco Bay Area Salary Range for this position: $119,000.00 - $255,000.00

The above salary range for this position is relevant to applicants that reside or work onsite in the California, San Francisco Bay Area only. Salary offers will depend on factors that include the location you work from, your level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience and comparison to other employees already in this role. Actual salary may vary from salary offered due to numerous factors including but not limited to unpaid time off, unpaid leave, company mandated shutdown, and other relevant factors.
