Job Description

As a lead data architect supporting digital transformation in Enterprise Analytics group at Lam Research you will be responsible for designing and leading the data architecture and integration for multiple projects. You will be writing the specs and designing the solutions and coordinate with the development team to support the business needs and collaborate with data architecture, business, and development teams. You will also guide application and business development teams in the analytics design of complex solutions and ensure that they are in alignment with the COE data principles, standards, strategies.

Other Job Responsibilities

• Use leadership abilities to drive process and data design for Supply Chain, Order fulfillment, Global Operations processes from discovery through delivery.
• Work with key Global Operations and GIS stakeholders supporting digital transformation program and provide the leadership to define the data strategy and architecture
• Design and develop data architecture and data governance specs based on the to-be processes part of the digital transformation
• Engage in the business transformation workshops with SME and identify the data and process gaps and propose a scalable data and analytics architecture to address those gaps
• Leverage current SILK architecture as a data hub for digital transformation program and identify additional tools and services to address the process gaps
• Offer insight, guidance, and direction on the usage of emerging data analytics trends and technical capabilities that will help the digital transformation across the company
• Demonstrate the capabilities and conduct POCs of data and advanced analytics solutions to digital transformation teams to show the potential of the Data Fabric/SILK platform
• Define, maintain, and promote the advanced analytics standards and processes as part of GIS Center of Excellence across the company
• Design advanced Analytics applications using Azure tech stack, Power BI, Synapse, SQL Warehouses including ETL pipelines
• Develop collaborative relationships with key business sponsors and IT resources for the efficient resolution of work requests

Minimum Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in leading the design and development of data and analytics projects in a global company. Experience in working for projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules.
• Must have experience in a high tech or manufacturing company with strong knowledge in Global Operations, Supply Chain, Order fulfillment, Manufacturing areas and processes
• 8+ years of MS SQL experience with data modeling and some Python background
• 2+ years of experience in working with Microsoft Azure and strong knowledge about ADLS, Blob Storage, Data Factory, SQL Server and Warehouses. Experience in Cloud based EDW platforms (Snowflake, Synapse, Redshift, Big Query etc.)
• Nice to have experience in SAP HANA and related business processes.
• 5+ years of building and launching new data models that provide intuitive analytics for the analysts and customers
• Strong experience working with and analyzing large datasets, within the relevant domains of IoT and enterprise data.
• Must have strong experience in Data Warehouse ETL design and development, methodologies, tools, processes and best practices
• Communication and presentation experience with proven track record of using insights to influence executives and colleagues
• Strong Computer Science and Mathematics background preferred
• Excellent query writing skill and communication skills preferred
• Familiarity with common API’s: REST, SOAP preferred

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, MIS, Data Science, Analytics or in a relevant Engineering discipline. Masters or Phd preferred.
