Become a Distribution Project Controls, Manager team within Southern California Edison’s Transmission and Distribution Organizational Unit. The successful candidate will oversee the development and management of a large portion on Distribution’s operational budgets, forecasts, and expenses. Additionally, the successful candidate will. This position will be the point of contact between Distribution’s Operation’s Group and Operational Finance, you will act as a conduit, to translate operational practices into quantifiable financial insight.

As a Project Controls, Manager your actions will help our team maintain and exceed our mission of providing exceptional service to our clients/stakeholders.

• Overseeing a team of 8-10 cost engineers to include performance monitoring and goal setting. 
• Supporting and monitoring the implementation of new analytical tools and methods, technology, and automation, while meeting ongoing project demands.
• Meeting client expectations and addressing elevated and sensitive issues.
• Managing the selection, training and development, performance management, compensation, and discipline of team members.
• Establishing and managing consistent work practices including enforcing safety standards/protocols to ensure a safe work environment.
• Performing other responsibilities and duties as assigned.
• Ensure that all Sarbanes Oxley (Act) policies and procedures are adhered to by internal and external customers

Qualifications

The essentials

• Five (5) or more years’ experience in management or supervising function
• Advanced knowledge, ability, and experience with Microsoft software (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Visio)

The preferred

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business, Economics or in a scientific/technical/business field.
• Preferred disciplines include data science, construction management, finance, project management, or quality assurance.
• Five (5) or more years’ experience in cost controls/management
• Five (5) or more years’ experience in Project Management, Project Controls, and Construction Management, or equivalent experience. 
• Utility construction/CA regulated/regulatory/EPC experience desirable
• Advanced knowledge with Project Controls software (e.g., Project, Primavera, and Contract Manager)
• Advanced knowledge and experience with regulations, guides, standards, codes, technologies, methods, practices, and advanced project controls engineering principles.
• Experience in contract negotiation/management, handling/reviewing claims, and processing/managing change orders
• Demonstrated knowledge, ability and experience with SAP or similar Enterprise Resource Solutions application
• Certificate and/or Licenses: Certified Cost Professional, Project Management Professional, Professional Engineer, or equivalent credential(s)

• The position’s work mode is remote. Employee is able to work primarily at home or remote however, the employee may be expected to come to an SCE facility on occasion.
