Become a Senior Advisor, Information and Integration Architect at Southern California Edison and build a better tomorrow. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and socializing data management strategy, roadmap, portfolio and solution level architecture and solution designs. The data management capabilities include data modeling, information architectures, data engineering / warehousing/ integration/ analytics/ quality management, along with metadata & master data management. This is a technical leadership role, that requires strong data/ information management as well as data/ application integration solution architecture & design skills. You will work closely with Solution/ Application Architects, Data SME’s, Integration Center of Excellence, and Engineering Services (for detailed design and build of solutions). This role also requires regular interaction and collaboration with business data SME’s, data stewards, and data custodians.

This role involves conducting research and analysis of business requirements and use cases; leveraging available technologies, to architect and design data and integration solutions to address those business needs, problems, and use cases.

You will act as an internal consultant with business groups and IT for enabling data management solutions. In addition to the technical skills related to data management and integration, a good understanding of utility specific functional and data domains are key to the success in this role. You’ll drive the maturity of data management solutions across organization, and be answerable to leadership for data management strategy and execution.

  • Internal client consultations
  • Development of best practices/standards/guidelines for data and integration domain
  • Development and documentation of architecture and design patterns for data and integration solutions
  • Development of data and integration requirements, logical data models, data and integration architecture and design for solutions, data mappings
  • Solution evaluations, impact assessments, rapid solution prototyping, and solution recommendation
  • Reviewing and ensuring detailed design compliance with solution architecture and design
  • User adoption of data management solutions
  • Driving data quality assessment and remediations
  • Development and adoption of master data management and metadata management solutions

Qualifications

The essentials

  • Ten (10) or more years of experience within Information Technology, Operations, Engineering, Enterprise Architecture, Application Development and/or technical related field.
  • Seven (7) or more years of experience in architecting and designing information, integration, and analytics solutions
  • Five (5) or more years of experience in building data management and integration solutions for transactional as well as analytical solutions
  • Experience in data modeling, data mappings, master data management, metadata management, data quality management, data/application integration, Services/API design
  • Experience designing integration solutions using tools such as SAP PO, Talend, API Management/Gateways

The preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Statistics/ Mathematics, or related technical field of study.
  • Utility domain knowledge and experience – specifically asset management, work management, outage management, electric grid control systems, electrical connectivity, transmission/distribution control systems, and GIS systems
  • TOGAF Certification
  • Certifications for data / integration tools (ex. Talend, Cloud ETL tools, Snowflake, IBM Datapower)
