We go beyond strategy and provide end to end implementation of real-life data environments and have some of the best architects, project managers, business analysts, data scientists, big data engineers, developers and consultants in the region.

We are looking for a Senior Data Scientist / Senior Data Engineer (Senior Consultant or Manager) to join our team in our Hong Kong office.

The Opportunity

As our newest Senior Data Scientist / Senior Data Engineer, you will be the technical leader for advanced analytics, data science or data engineering and work with the broader DnA team to deliver solutions utilizing leading big data platforms and cloud technologies. Your role will include but is not limited to:

• Lead the advanced analytics and data science capabilities or the data engineering projects 
• Apply latest AI, data science, advanced analytics and data solutions to provide actionable insights to our clients 
• Lead the design and development of advanced statistical models to deliver effective predictive models and be able to clearly explain the model strengths and weaknesses to both technical and senior business stakeholders 
• Lead the design and development of Enterprise Data Platform solutions, supporting major data transformation programmes
• Participate in sales pursuits and business development opportunities for advanced analytics work

   

Skills and attributes for success

With a minimum of 3-5 years’ experience delivering advanced analytics / machine learning / complex data integration projects, you should demonstrate experience leading a team of Data Analysts / Data Scientists / Data Engineers in addition to:

• Strong understanding of machine learning techniques and algorithms (k-NN, Naïve Bayes, SVM and Decision Forests etc.)
• Familiar with machine learning aglorithms and platforms, neural network (Tensor flow, Caffe and CNTK etc.)
• Data science toolkit skills (Python and R. etc)
• Strong in SQL and proficient in one of the programming languages (Python/Scala, C#, Java and C++)
• Demonstrated experience in handling unstructured data and structured data with large, complex and multiple data sets from various sources
• Experience with real-time, near real-time, MQ and streaming solutions (Kafka, AWS Kinesis, Azure Event Grid/Hub, Service Bus and Spark Streaming)
• Fluency in English, Mandarin or Cantonese preferred

For Senior Data Engineer, you should also possess:

• Strong skills in designing Enterprise Data Warehouse architecture
• Demonstrated experience in designing and implementing data storage (Azure SQL Data Warehouse, AWS Redshift and Oracle)
• Expert in one or more data integration technologies (Azure Data Factory, Informatica, Datastage, Microsoft SSIS and Talend)
• Experience in data model design for visualization

   

Ideally, you’ll also have:

• Exceptional communicational skills and ability to build strong business relationships
• Experience in some of the key AI platforms such as IBM Watson, Microsoft Azure, Google API AI and Facebook AI etc.
• Track record of delivering complex end-to-end data projects from source systems to consumption layer
